Well, once again I just learned of the passing of another victim of cancer, Donna Summer. I was saddened once again. I absolutely hate cancer, hate hearing the name, hate the effects of it, hate how it tears up families, destroys home, hate the one who is behind it! This is yet another one of satan's evil schemes, devices, attacks on mankind. He has ravaged so many bodies, homes, families with this evil disease.
I recall several years ago, in a hospital elevator, hearing a young lady who had just visited a loved one, she cried and said how much she hated cancer. Reading today on Facebook, about Donna Summer's death, once again, I saw that someone posted about how he hated cancer.
Cancer is a cruel disease. It is demonic. It is relentless in some cases. I hear people talk about it, bow down to it, back away from it, as though it has all power. It does not! Some people give it more power than they give God. I am always so amazed when I hear folks talk about cancer and how powerful it is. It is not more powerful than God. Please, I am in no way, downplaying what cancer has or is doing to people. I have seen it do horrible things, but cancer is not God.
God is All-powerful, no doubt about it! He has all power over cancer. God can heal anything, and everything. it does not matter what the illness, sickness, disease or malady is-God is more powerful. He can get rid of it. God hates it as much as I do. He hates it because He knows that once again, satan is destroying, or attempting to destroy a life. he does not have to win. God has promised us that He will heal ALL of our diseases.-(Psalm 103:)3, God promised that He will not put diseases on us, but that He will heal all of them-(Exodus 15:26), this includes cancer, diabetes, a cold, a broken fingernail, an aching back-whatever, it is included in ALL, God promised that He will not let any weapon that is formed against us, to hurt or destroy us-(Isaiah 54:17); sickness and disease is a weapon formed by the enemy (satan) against people. In Matthew 13:15, Jesus said that every plant which my heavenly Father did not plant, SHALL be rooted up. Cancer is a growth, God did not plant it, BUT He promised to up root it! God promises that His Word would be Medicine to all our flesh, if we give our attention to and BELIEVE His Word-(Proverbs 4:20-22), God promises that we can have what we say, when we say what The Word says...(Mark 11:23-24). When we say and believe that by Jesus' stripes we are healed, when we say that what Jesus did on the cross was for us, that it is a finished work, not that He is going to heal us, but that Jesus has already healed us, and healing is our covenant right...etc. We can make a demand on the Word. We can decree that our body is healed, because God said that it is! The Word said that we can decree a thing and it will be established! Decree total healing in your body.
GOD WANTS US WELL! He is NOT mad at us. He does NOT make people sick. He is NOT trying to teach us something. He is NOT trying to humble us. He is NOT punishing us! He gets no glory out of people dying with any sickness or disease. Acts 10:38 says that sick sick people are oppressed by the devil, NOT by God! Jesus said in Luke 13:11-16, that this woman was oppressed for many years by the satan, NOT by God. God said that she should have been healed a long time ago! God anointed Jesus to go around healing, NOT making people sick! Jesus said that He only does what His Father does-never has it said in the Word that Jesus made anyone sick!
I say this with all sincerity, if it is the will of God that folks be sick, then Jesus is OUT OF THE WILL OF GOD! I'm just sayin'!

Sweet Peace!
Hi! It's me, yeah it's been a while...been enjoying life! I have vacationed with family, as always I have loved being with my husband and our sons, I have just been chillin'!
Ever been in a place where every thing is "just right"? I am at that place. It is a good place. It is a place where every thing is calm. I am not saying that my life is filled with drama, it absolutely is not, thank God...but I am at a place where peace abides...where birds are singing...the shrubbery outside is pretty and green, lush and still, and there is a quiet, stillness all around me. No I don't believe that it is the "calm before the storm"! I don't believe that I should be looking for and expecting storms in my life! I have learned to expect these quiet, peaceful times...the older I get, the more I expect times like these. I love peace. Please don't get me wrong, I am concerned about the world that I live in...family and friends. I am concerned about folks hurting, stressed, sad, depressed. I have just learned to relax, be still, get quiet, soak in the moment. it is awesome. Not running around, rushing everywhere. I believe that God has given us the power to choose...am I going to be stressed, worried, or fearful, or am I going to really believe and trust Him, and experience moments like these?
I am actually cooking, house smelling and filled with the aroma of red beans simmering on the stove, it even looks like the beans are at peace, just the right simmer! They are even calm.
I just noticed that it is getting cloudy and dark outside...looks like the sky is about to open...rain is on the way! It is about to be even calmer. I like the rain too. I am beginning to hear the gentle rumbling of thunder...even it is not boisterous as thunder can be, even it is a quiet thunder. Funny isn't it, everything at peace.
God wants us to live life at a calm. He wants us to relax, experience His presence and His embrace. He wants us to know that every thing is alright! The enemy tries his best to convince us that everything is wrong. He wants us to be in a constant state of turmoil...the more stress, and drama...he happier he is!
God on the other hand, wants us to be still. He wants to really lead us to still waters, to enable us to lie down in green pastures, even if those pastures are in your home, in your favorite spot in your home, even in a nice warm bath, with lots of bubbles and soft candlelight, even at your stove, stirring a pot of beans...wherever He is, and wherever you are with Him!
Yes, I can sit looking out my window in our family room, I can close my eyes and instead of Calgon taking me away, I am taken away by Him, to a quiet place, a refreshing place, an intimate place of fellowship with Him, loving my Daddy's embrace. no one can hold me like my Father can...I am getting teary-eyed as I write this.
Well, the timer is ringing on the stove...gotta go check on the beans. Just wanted to share a little peace with you!
I love you guys!

I 'm Baaaack!
Hello everyone, I'm back! I realize that it has been a while since I've posted, but I was away for two glorious weeks of much needed rest, and relaxation! No, I am not employed outside of the home, no I do not punch a time clock everyday, but trust me, everyone needs a rest from something, sometime! Please don't get it twisted, just because someone does not work outside of the home, on a 8 hour a day job, don't think that they are just sitting around the house, in front of the television, watching soap operas, and eating Bon-Bons! It is certainly not like that! Many times because we are at home, others conveniently find things for us to do. We need a vacation sometime!
Anyway, I certainly did enjoy my vacation. God is so awesome, as I have said many times before, and probably will say many times more! It's just the truth. Our God is awesome. If you will let Him, He really will show you how to lie down in "green pastures", and rest, even if those "green pastures" are only an hour away!
God cares about us, He really does. He wants us to rest, to lay besides "still" waters, and because of the wonderful rest that He gives, He restores our soul.
It was so good to just get-away, not to have to ask for a "wake-up" call every morning, just sleep until noon if we wanted to. We really need to stop, rest, relax, and sometimes just get away. We really surprised ourselves this time. Normally we take our vacation during the month of August, as we have done for the last several years, until last year, when the event that we usually attend as our vacation, was moved from August to July.
As we have done in previous years, we set up the vacation for this July, to attend the event that we usually attend. It just suddenly hit us, why do we have to wait until July, to go somewhere and rest? We are tired now, we need rest now, why would we wait until July?
How many times in life, have we put off things until a certain time? I have a china cabinet full of beautiful china, that I have used maybe three times, in 33 years! Just waiting for that special occasion. Crazy isn't it? You can say yes, but you are probably guilty of this also. It may not be china, but it may be a much needed vacation, it may be purchasing a home, an automobile, a handbag, special perfume, just waiting until the "right" time. Oh c'mon, you've done it too! You know that you want that special "Queen for a Day" Spa treatment, that special bottle of perfume, that special dress, but you continue to put it off. I say spa treatment, a dress, perfume, because I know as women, we know how to put things off! We concentrate on getting every thing that our husband and the children need, that our parents need, so often putting off what we really want. So my husband and I looked at each other, and decide that we were not going to wait, vacation here we come! We promptly made reservations, packed, and off we went! Best two weeks, ever! Great rest, wonderful restaurants, peace, quiet, shopping galore!
So, now you know why I have been away! I encourage you, if you are in need of rest, don't keep putting it off! Ladies, treat yourself. Go get that mani/pedi, that much needed massage! I can remember picking my husband up from work on a Friday, suitcase packed, and off to Kemah for the weekend! Surprised him, and had great times. Those "surprise" get-aways are always so much fun!
Anyway, stop putting things off, enjoy each day!

Good morning, Blow-pop! (Re-post from November 2011)
(I always want to do what God instructs me to do. I was instructed to re-post this blog today, which was originally posted in November 2011. So I am doing what I was told to do. It is my desire that the power and anointing of God that was present on the first post, will be on this one, and that someone's life will be blessed by it again!)
Good morning, Blow-pop!
You know, God is such an awesome God and Father. He has so many ways to get a point across. I am always laughing at some of the ways that He talks to me. We have to be careful not to allow ourselves to try to "lock" God into doing things a certain way, every time. We can become so accustomed to God answering a prayer in a certain way, talking to us in a certain way, that we think that He will perform that way, each and every time. Not so! He has so many ways of moving in our circumstance or situation.
This morning, I was sitting and spending time with my Father, and I asked Him what was on His mind this morning. He said that His people were not living the best life, and they have simply settled! He said that His people are living way below His best. We talked about this a little more, and He showed me that because we are in Christ, nothing can touch us. One thing that I have learned about God is that He has a sense of humor. I know that as a constant visitor to Facebook, I often see letters like ROTFL( rolling on the floor laughing), LOL(laughing out loud), and SMH (shaking my head). I really believe that I could use some of these letters when I talk to God too! I believe that He uses some of the letters too! I can honestly see Him falling off of the throne, laughing! He has said some funny things to me!
He set out to explain to me, that nothing could touch me because I am in Christ. You are gonna think that I am crazy when I say this, but He showed me what it is like being in Christ. He showed me a picture of ME inside of a Blow-pop! Yeah, you heard me, a Blow-pop! He said that I am the gum part of it, and Jesus is the hard candy around it! (Please keep visiting to my blog, I am not crazy!) Believe me, I am shaking my head as I type this!
A Blow-pop! He said that as that gum is inside that hard candy shell, that's the way I am in Christ! Nothing can penetrate that shell (JESUS). He showed me sickness, lack, debt, poverty, depression, stress, it can't get through that shell! He showed me that when He looks at that Blow-pop, He only sees the shell! He said that when He looks at me, He only sees Jesus! I'm in there, but He only sees that outside shell, JESUS! He doesn't see a sinner. He doesn't see someone who keeps messing up. He doesn't see any of the pictures that we see ourselves as, because we have believed the lies of the enemy! satan can paint a ugly picture of you, and have you believing the lie! God showed me this today, I"m like, Really! We both had to laugh. It was funny to me, but I understood. I didn't say to God, but I thought in my mind, I bite down and crack that candy all of the time to get to that gum. (I didn't say that to God, but I sure was thinking it-LOL). All of a sudden God spoke to me and said, nothing cracks this shell that is around you! Whoa! Sometimes we forget that He knows our thoughts. Ok, I had to laugh again!
To me, it was funny how God spoke to me, but He let me see things a little different. He is not some deep God. He wants us "to get it"! I am in Christ, and anything that tries to attack me, has to go through Jesus first, and that's IMPOSSIBLE!!! Sickness can't do it. Lack/debt can't do it, stress, depression, discouragement etc, NOTHING can do it! Nothing can overcome Jesus! Nothing can crack that shell! As long as we stay "in Him", then we can sing M.C.Hammer's song, "You can't touch this"! and do his dance! Anyway, I have had a good laugh to start my day!
Thank you Father

It was a good day!
Well, Resurrection Sunday is almost over, according to the calendar, but certainly not according to what the Resurrection stands for! We can enjoy the benefits of the Resurrection of the Lord Jesus, every day of our life! I celebrate the Resurrection every day! Because of the Resurrection, we can celebrate.
Today was a good day, and I thank Jesus for it. Had a great Worship Service, with a great Resurrection Day message, and best of all four young people responded to the appeals for salvation or to be filled with the Holy Spirit! I can't think of a better way to celebrate this special day, than to see souls added to the Kingdom of God! Thank you Jesus!
I do hope that your day was a good one also. Goodnight!

Happy Resurrection Day...
Although it is 12:42 am, and I am still up, (like I don't have to get up in only a few short hours for church), it is officially Resurrection morning! I am so overjoyed at all that it means to me as a child of God. Because Jesus got up, I will get up, get up from what, up from anything in life that would seek to get me down! Whether it is a person, a sickness or disease, a bill, debt or whatever, I get up and I am victorious over anything that opposes me. I am so grateful that Jesus died! He chose to die for me. When He was on the cross, I was on His mind! If I had been, or if you had been the only person on the face of the earth at that time, He still would have died for one person! He would have died for just you, or just me! He paid a high price for my freedom, that is why I refuse to be put back into any type of bondage again, bondage to people, emotions, sickness or disease, lack, debt, or any insufficiency, anything! He made it possible to have a relationship with God again, based on His merits, based on His obedience, based on the fact that His blood was the full payment for my sin debt. There was not enough money in the world to pay that debt, but Jesus paid it for me. Thank God for the blood. God took His blood as full payment of my sin.
I am special, and you are too! I am so free, I am so free from the need to try to please God or people, because of Jesus, I already do! Glory! I please God. He loves me, He is not mad at me, I don't have to fear God punishing, He already punished Jesus for me and I don't have to work for His love, don't have to pray for His love, don't have to fast for His love...He unconditionally loves me! He favors me.
I celebrate this day with excitement, with gratitude and thanksgiving, with hope and expectation! I know that no one or nothing can stop me in life, because of the Resurrection! The very same power that raised Jesus from the dead, is in ME! The same power! That power is with me always! That is resurrection power. Resurrection power is in me now. I am shouting right at this minute! I am so grateful! I can't lose. It is utterly IMPOSSIBLE! As I partake of the Holy Communion today, I can't help but think about Him on that cross. How that sinless, precious blood flowed for you and for me. I think about how powerful that blood is. The Father highly esteemed it because it was pure blood, it was sinless blood, it was not tainted in any way. That's why God could accept it for payment of our sin. That blood is so powerful, that when you take the communion and you have sickness in your body, that blood can instantly get rid of it. That blood is so powerful, that you can cover your children, your home with it and know for a certainty that nothing can touch them, you can apply that blood to any bill, any job application, any test paper, and know that it is to your advantage.
I love the Lord. Thank you Jesus, for taking my place! Thank you for paying my bill! Thank you for shedding your blood! Thank you for dying for me! Thank you for getting up!

Resurrection...New Life!
Spring is in the air! Beautiful, sunny, warm days have arrived, and beautiful blossoming flowers, as well! I love these days. It is as though everything is living again! Surrounded by new life.
As we are coming upon the day that the world knows as Easter, (Resurrection Day to me), it all fits so perfectly together, sunny days, new blooms, new life, everything resurrected and new!
Resurrection Sunday, Victory Sunday...satan defeated, the grave defeated, death defeated, new life! As we approach Resurrection Sunday, I am so overjoyed about what this day is all about. It is not about chocolate eggs or bunnies, not about colored eggs, or brightly colored jelly beans, it's about Victory, about winning everyday in life, about overcoming, about defeat for all things that seeks to destroy us, it's about Resurrection!
Jesus did die. He was buried, but he didn't stay dead! He did Rise from the grave, and He is alive, and He is alive forevermore! Wow, if folks could get a revelation of what the Resurrection is all about, life will never be the same! We would not know hate, but a new kind of love, we would not know just a dull, hum drum life, but a rich, victorious, peaceful, joyful life! Jesus being crucified, was not enough. He had to rise from the dead, He had to defeat satan, death, the grave, hell! He had to get up! And get up, He did!
He got up in my life, and I have never been the same! I am not the person that I was before 1986, and all because of Jesus, I am brand new, with a new attitude! I am alive, not just surviving, I am victorious...I win, I was created to win, I have a totally new mindset, I am not just an ordinary person, I am changed...I am Righteous, Forgiven, Unconditionally Loved, and I always Win in life! All because Jesus is my Savior and Lord, and because of the Resurrection!
Death has no power over me...satan has no power over me...sickness and disease has no power over me...debt and lack has no power over me...depression has no power over me...people have no power over me, sin has no power over me! I have Resurrection Life, Resurrection power in me, I am a conqueror! Yes, me!
I can stand in my Father's presence, without guilt and without condemnation, knowing that I am so Loved, and forgiven, accepted and approved, and partake of all of His blessings, not worried about if I deserve them or not, I deserve them, I deserve them, because of the Resurrection, not because of me! And I sure do enjoy them!
So, I hope that you will see this Resurrection Day, in a totally new light! I am not against tradition...that is your business, I just hope that you can partake of all of the Blessings of the Resurrection that Jesus rose to give you, and that belong to you as a child of God. Jesus died for all people, even for those who have not been born yet, His salvation, love, peace, joy, and abundant blessings are for everyone, but you must receive Him as Savior, by Faith, then you can enjoy all of the blessings of Resurrection...Relationship and Fellowship, and Total Victory every day!

He LIVES, and because of Him, I LIVE!
Have a Happy Resurrection Day!
