It's Supernatural!

Good morning bloggers, visitors, friends...hope that you are having a good morning so far, I sure am! I must admit that I am up and blogging much earlier than I have been accustomed to these last few days. I am just so excited and I wanted to share something exciting with you today.

On yesterday, I was introduced to a lady who is a friend of one of my close friends. This lady is not from my state, she was here in town visiting with my friend, and also this lady has some family who lives here in my hometown, so she was visiting them as well. I had never met this lady before yesterday, didn't know that she existed, and probably never will see her again. She was so excited about a local church that she visited this weekend here. She remarked about how wonderful the message was, how good the praise and worship was, and just how much she enjoyed the total visit to that particular church. So of course I told her how important the preached Word is to us, and how it will totally transform a life. As you probably guessed, we immediately entered into a great conversation about how awesome it is to be loved by God, how great it is to know that we are a child of God, and how much God really loves us and wants so much for us. It doesn't take much to start talking to anyone about the goodness of God, especially when each person can really relate because of a personal relationship with Him. It was evident to me that this was going to turn out to be a great visit with this new acquaintance.

Anyway, we continued to share about some of the wonderful things that God has done and is doing in each of our lives. I have learned more and more, that God really loves me and you, that He really is concerned about us, and that He is really aware of every detail of our life. I am learning more and more that it is really not about feelings, when it comes to walking with God. Sometimes I feel that the love of God is sometimes so overpowering on certain days, and on other days it's like, "God are you here, what's up, do You see what's happening, do You care?" Sometimes I ask Him about a certain matter, and it seems that He is just silent, and if I am not careful, I can allow myself to think thoughts about Him and the situation, that may not necessarily be on point, because feelings have taken over. I know that He cares. I know that He loves me. I know that He is moving in the situations that I present to Him. I know, but I must not rely on feelings to Know! I must know Him, know His Word, Know His character, know His integrity. I must Know because I know who He is.

I said all of this because for about the last several months, I have spoken with persons who are experiencing challenges with their mortgage. The mortgage situation has become challenging for many, in recent years. People are experiencing high interest rates, adjustable rate mortgages, many things associated with their mortgages. I know that when we purchased our home several years ago, as we sat and signed the papers at closing, God spoke to us and said to us, "I have paid this home off. Consider it paid in full!" You better know that at that very second, I considered it paid in full, and do until this day! We continue to declare it paid in full, and we have declared that we will not pay on any home for 30 years, in Jesus' Name. We know God, we know what He promised about this house, and we believe Him, and we expect it just as He said!

I know that you are saying, "get to the point". Ok, ok I will. The lady that I met on yesterday, begin talking about some things that God has recently done in her life. She proceeded to tell me about her home. It is over $200,000 dollars. That's not important, the amount, but what is important is that the mortgage company somehow folded, disappeared, cannot be located, no trace that it ever existed, can't be found even after lawyer searches, and guess what, she now has NO mortgage! That's debt-cancellation! Anyway I was so encouraged by that...and so grateful to God for using her to remind me of what He said to us many years ago. Sometimes feelings can get in the way of what God has promised us.When it seems like you have been waiting and believing, and confessing and praying for so long, and it seems like nothing is changing. Right there in the middle of the waiting, and the silence, God sends a reminder of what he said! God can wipe out a mortgage, cancel it entirely, cause someone else to pay it off for you, take it out of a company's records, close the company...He can do whatever it takes any way He wants to do it! I read in the Bible that God will give us goodly homes, and fill them with good things...we don't even have to fill them, He will fill them for us. He said He will give, that doesn't sound like being under a 30-year mortgage to me. That sounds like free to me! I know that some of you would probably argue that God would not just give someone a home. Why not? He is my Father, I am His child. He owns it all anyway. He told me that with Him, all things are possible! He told me that according to my faith, be it unto me! No I don't get unto a worry about having enough faith, because I live by the faith of the Son of God, Jesus' faith is in me...it never fails!

God knows us, is absolutely concerned about everything that concerns us...yes our mortgages, marriages, children, family, money, health, relationships, jobs, contract negotiations, EVERYTHING! In these days in which we are living, right here, right now as a child of God, I am expecting more experiences like this lady had. I expect more and more people to testify about how God paid off homes, made deposits in bank accounts, transferred wealth, healed, saved family members, everything! Supernaturally! We call these things miracles, but to God, it is business as usual! As far as He is concerned, these are not "miracles" that should happen every now and then, these are things that should be happening every day! I fully expect SOON to blog and share my testimony of how God supernaturally cancelled the mortgage on my home! Keep visiting...it won't be long! It's Supernatural!

Jesus Understands...

Jesus Understands Your Struggles
Hebrews 4:15
15
For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.

Imagine meeting the new politician who is to represent your district or neighborhood only to discover that he is not familiar with your neighborhood’s needs and problems. You will wonder, “Can this guy really represent us? Does he know anything about our living conditions? Is he familiar with the various challenges that families here are facing? Can he help me get my child into one of the schools here?” I am sure that you would prefer someone who truly understands your challenges to represent you!

In the same way, I am so glad that right now at the Father’s right hand, we have someone who came as a Man to redeem us, and who fully understands what man goes through. When Jesus walked on earth, He went through every human emotion so that He could identify with us in all points. Jesus is God, but He is in the Father’s presence as a Man, representing us.

My friend, you may feel that no one understands your struggles. Listen, while this may be true of man, it is not true of Jesus. He knows exactly what you are going through and He can sympathize with your weaknesses because He was “in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin”.

None of us have been tempted in all points. But God allowed Jesus to be tempted in all points so that He can understand and identify with the struggles of every single person on this earth. He can be touched by our humanity — our weaknesses, tears, disappointments, griefs... all points!

There is no trial, difficulty, challenge or temptation that you face that Jesus cannot identify with. My friend, the moment you go through it, right there and then, He feels it too. That is the kind of representative you have in Jesus! That is the love of God so that you will draw near to His throne of grace (not judgment) to find mercy and grace in time of need! (Hebrews 4:15–16)

Hello...It's Been a while!

Hello Bloggers, it seems like it has been a long while since I have last blogged. I have been quite busy, lots of things to do. I have missed you guys! I'm Baaaack! I'm so silly.

Well did everybody have a good day today? For many of people it was a day of celebration, for others it was just a day off, a day of needed rest. No matter how you chose to live it, I do hope that it was a good day for you!

This day has become a special day for many of people throughout  the U.S., a day to celebrate the Legacy of a great man, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.. I thank God for Dr. King and for all that he stands for. I am so happy for all that he achieved in his lifetime. He was an example to many, an inspiration to many, and he was someone who knew his purpose, had a dream, and pursued what he believed.

I watch with interest, year after year, all of the many celebrations, parades, breakfasts, luncheons, the recitation of the "I Have a Dream" speech and other activities that are held each year, and each time I always wonder, what would Dr. King think about all of this. This is just me, just a thought. When I see all of the excitement, I wonder if folks have realized that we are all here because God has us here, and that just like Dr. King, we have a work to do, a purpose, and should also have a dream!

Please know that I am not by any means knocking anything done in Dr. King's honor. He achieved great things. He worked hard, sacrificed much, had a big impact on this nation, and sacrificed his life. I am so glad that a day has been set aside in his honor. That's a good thing. The world is a better place because of him.

As I observe year after year, I wonder how many people have realized that God has created and put us here on earth for a purpose...a purpose that is uniquely ours! How many people can say like Dr. King that they have a dream, a purpose. I believe that Dr. King dreamed, so that we can dream also and have the ability to pursue that dream. I believe that he would want people not to live his dream, but have their own dream, pursue it, and realize that God has given us a purpose to fulfill, not Dr. King's purpose, but the purpose that God has given to everyone. God says , "I know the plans that I have for you" (Jeremiah 29:11). God has a plan for each individual on this earth! He has given to each of us, the ability, the gifts, the greatness inside of us to do great things, to make an impact on humanity, just like Dr. King did. We don't have to try to do what he did, do you! Do what God has for you to do!

No, every one is not called to lead thousands of people in a march. We have not all been called to deliver a speech before thousands, to sit face to face with world leaders, to preach to thousands. Some have been called to be the best mother that you can be, the best husband or wife. The best teacher, coach, doctor, lawyer, one who encourages, a mercy giver, restaurant owner, cook etc. Each of us was uniquely created with purpose, gifted to do something that no one else can do exactly like you!

Sure, I am happy for Dr. King's accomplishments, his achievements, his legacy. What will your legacy be? What contribution will you make to mankind? What is your purpose? Why are you here at such a time as this? What is your dream? Dr. King knew his purpose, and he did it!

What about you? Goodnight.

Don't Worry!

Good morning all, I am having a good day, and I hope that you will too! Yes it is just 6:11 am, but I have already decided that I am going to have a good day. That's my choice! Since I was blessed to still be here to live today, I might as well enjoy it. I sure didn't get up this morning and plan to have a bad day.

I read my devotional today and it talked about being bombarded with the cares of this world, in other words-WORRY! This is a word that we hear too often in the world in which we live. Everyday, we hear about people who are worried about something...marriages, children, finances, health, bills, relationships, the list goes on and on. More and more we read about young men and women dying from strokes and heart attacks, many times because they live stressed lifestyles, often caused by worry. I am not in any way, downplaying the fact that persons believe that the issues that they are dealing with, are serious, real, and to them, merit their worry.

I have lived long enough to know that many of the things that folks worry about, never happen! The enemy is a master at causing folks to stress and worry. satan really doesn't care how he kills a person, using worry and stress to cause a heart attack, stroke or cancer, is alright with him. I am certainly not saying that every heart attack or stroke is due to worry, but many of them are. Jesus already told us that satan is the one who came to steal, kill, and destroy! He wants to steal your peace, your joy, and your life, if you let him. He really can't do any of this unless you help him to destroy you! Wow, you have to help the enemy destroy you. You help him when you worry and stress about a thing, a person, co-worker or boss, a bill, and doctor's report...whatever it is. When we worry about something, we are playing into the enemy's hands, and really helping him to destroy you.

Stress and worry doesn't always have to be about finances or a health issue. I know that women have a tendency to let anything worry them...ok not every woman. I will use myself as an example. I love Christmas. Everybody who knows me, knows that Christmas is absolutely my favorite time of the year. I love decorating, putting up my many trees, entertaining, sending out Christmas cards, and baking and preparing all of my favorite Christmas treats. Usually on the first of November, everything starts at my house. The tress start going up, cards addressed, and so on. I don't have just one tree, I am talking about a tree in every room, not small trees, usually 6 feet and above! Throws, Christmas pillows, rugs, everything coordinated! This is my passion, as you can probably tell. Usually around June, I start shopping for new ornaments. I have my legal pad on which I have listed the theme, and the color scheme for every room for each new year. This can be a stressful time, if I let it. I know what accent pieces that I want for each theme, and sometimes it is hard to find exactly what I want each year. Guess what, this year, I only decorated one tree, didn't have one pillow, rug, throw out. Didn't bake one cookie, didn't address one card, and guess what, I was alright with that! I did not worry one minute, had a wonderful, peaceful, joyful Christmas this year, and I wasn't tired from having to do all of the decorating that I usually do! I did not think that I could have a home at Christmas that did not have at least 15 Christmas trees, but I did, and I made it! I didn't do what I normally do, and I didn't worry!

God said that worry is not from Him. Why do it? As I get older, I really am not concerned as much any more. I am not saying that I don't care about thing, I don't worry about them. Most of the stuff doesn't happen anyway, and most of it is too big for me to carry on my shoulders. I really let God have it. I can really say, that I sleep good every night! Sleep before my head hits the pillow! That's a great feeling.

All that I am saying is, "Don't worry"! Really when you worry, you are really saying or feeling that the issue that you are worrying about, you can handle it better than God can. You are really saying that you don't think that God is handling it as it should be handled, that He is too slow, that He just may not do for you this time, He doesn't know about the deadline or due date. You wouldn't dare say that to Him, but c'mon, you have thought it. I know that you have, because I have too, at least one time in my life, but nobody can handle stuff like Him! Give Him a try. See what He will do. Take that issue and just tell God that you are tired of it. Tired of worrying about it. Tired of losing sleep over it...watch Him handle it! Trust God! Love you. Enjoy your day!

You Matter!

If It Matters To You, It Matters To God
Luke 12:6–7
6Are not five sparrows sold for two copper coins? And not one of them is forgotten before God. 7But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.

Many Christians make the mistake of thinking that God is too busy taking care of the “big things” to be interested in the little problems they are facing. Are you one of them? It may be your child’s bed-wetting habit, a quarrel with a friend or the small pimple on your face. No matter how trivial it sounds, if it troubles you, then God wants to take care of it!

God wants to take care of every area of your life, even the smallest detail. He loves you so much that He knows the number of hairs you have on your head. And if your loving heavenly Father knows and is interested in the small details of your life, then you don’t have to overcome any problem on your own.

When my daughter Jessica turned three, my wife Wendy and I decided to bring her to Disneyland. Knowing that it was her first encounter with Disneyland and that she could be frightened by unexpected shocks, I decided to watch one of the theater productions which I had planned to bring her to, before I took her to watch it.

As I sat through the production, my mind was on Jessica all the time. I was thinking, “Is this too frightening for her? Will she like the mechanical singing bear? Is the place too dark for her?” I decided to bring her to the show only after I had seen it myself and was sure that she would enjoy it.

My friend, your heavenly Father cares for you in the same way as He lays out His plans for you. You are on His heart all the time as He carefully considers and makes plans for every aspect of your life, both big and small. And the very thought of you puts a smile on His face because He knows that the plans He has for you are plans to bless you. (Jeremiah 29:11)

So no matter what problems you are facing right now, you can rest in His love for you. There is no problem that is too insignificant for Him to handle. He is not just God Almighty, He is also your heavenly Father who loves you!

It's Here!

Well, 2012 has finally arrived! Happy New Year to you!

Wow, it has been a great day. What a wonderful beginning to a great new year. I began my day, grateful! Grateful that by God's grace, I made it, along with my family and friends, and all of you who are visiting my blog, grateful that we all are alive and well today, and are celebrating a new year!

Today at worship service, everything and everyone was so excited! Pastor ministered a great message about everything being "brand new"! He especially stressed the truth that anyone who is in Christ, is brand new. So often, we have the tendency to carry old baggage, issues, problems, worries, challenges into the new year. I made a decision that this time would be different! Both of our pastors anointed us with oil, therefore I received a double anointing today. This year is different from all others. I already know it, different in a great way! You may ask, "how can you say that this year is good, and different in a good way, when this is only the first day of the year?"

Well, I am going to tell you why I say this. This evening, as I have been meditating on this day, I have just had a "knowing" in the pit of my stomach. It is not a feeling, but a "I just know"! You know that when you just know something, you can't explain it in human terms, just regular words, you just know! That is what it has been like for me this evening. I just know that it is a good year.

Sometimes I just have to get alone by myself, bring nothing to the quiet spot, but my spirit and the knowing that God is with me there. Nothing spoken by me, just sitting and quietly listening, meditating, smiling, so peaceful, so calm and at rest. I love these times. Tonight was one of these times. As I was just sitting there, I just started to meditate on the love of God, the love that He has for me, and for you! Like I have already said, there are some things that you just know. that no one can change your mind about, you just know! I know that God is so wonderful, so kind, so loving, so caring and concerned about me. I know that He will never stop loving me. I know that He will never get mad at me, I know that He absolutely, positively, unconditionally loves me, even when I think that I have messed up so bad! He always looks at me with a smile on His face, never a frown! I have been meditating on all of this this evening.

I know that this is a good year. God loves me, how can it be a bad one? I am going into this year with victory in everything, already! I am going into this year already having won! I am going into this year already accepted and approved by God. I am going into this year, with awesome plans for me, because they are God's plans for me. I did't say that I am starting my year, I am going into the new year, and by the grace and truth, and the love of God, I fully plan to have a wonderful year. God has crowned this year with His goodness and His bounty. All of His paths are dripping with increase, by His grace, I fully intend to stay on His path!

It's a good year! I have decreed that it is. It's not wishful thinking, not a hope-so. I know so!  I look forward to each new day. I just made a decision...I am just gonna agree with God! Agree that I am His child, in His family, greatly blessed, highly favored, deeply loved, agree that I am His favorite, that He just loves giving to me...wisdom, guidance, correction, His amazing Grace, His presence, His peace, His prosperity, His divine health, His protection, His nature, His Spirit, His Son, His eternal life! Wow, so much...I could go on and on.

It's a good year!

God's Favorite!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
